The Story of Our Lady Of Guadalupe
In 1531 a "Lady from Heaven" appeared to a humble Native American at Tepeyac, a hill northwest of what is now Mexico City. She requested he have a church built on the site. He went and told the local bishop, who asked for some proof or a sign.
The humble native went back and saw the vision again, and this time she left an image of herself imprinted miraculously on the native's tilma (a poor quality cactus-cloth).
The image cloth should have deteriorated in 20 years but shows no sign of decay over 480 years later and still defies all scientific explanations of its origin. (See the Actual Image Below)
