The Story of Our Lady Of Guadalupe

In 1531 a "Lady from Heaven" appeared to a humble Native American at Tepeyac, a hill northwest of what is now Mexico City. She requested he have a church built on the site. He went and told the local bishop, who asked for some proof or a sign.
The humble native went back and saw the vision again, and this time she left an image of herself imprinted miraculously on the native's tilma (a poor quality cactus-cloth).
The image cloth should have deteriorated in 20 years but shows no sign of decay over 480 years later and still defies all scientific explanations of its origin.
